TE PUKE SPORTS JUNIOR RUGBY (J.A.B)

The JAB section of Te Puke Sports is large. It is here where kids learn their basic skills and for many it’s their first time to participate in a team sport. The JAB section is the lifeblood of the club and is essential in maintaining the clubs on-going playing strength and membership. Our objective is to teach playing skills and create an enjoyable environment where kids can participate and often excel.

In 2018 our Te Puke Sports Under 10 Gold team won the Bay–Wide competition. As another club milestone, in 2019 an ALL GIRLS under-nine rugby team entered the competition. Our team of girls is the only ‘all-girls’ team in the Bay–Wide competition, and will have the support of our “Black–Fern” representatives Michaela Blyth and Sarah Hirini.
